Summer break is in full swing at my house. Bring on the craziness of having a very active 7 year old and a toddler. My husband is still working from home and he finally gets why I look the way I do at the end of the day 😉 With a lot of things closed, I have never been so grateful my parents have a pool. I usually have my daughter signed up for lots of activities spaced out throughout the Summer like art and dance classes. So this has been quite the change especially for my oldest. The last few months at home have been a little rough.

Since my parents live about a half hour away we treat their house as a little getaway a few times a week. If we don’t go there, I usually set up the inflatable slide for the day. So, we have basically been living in our swimsuits the last few weeks.
I’m not a fan of swimsuit shopping. This is the swimsuit brand I’ve literally worn since having kids and I have yet to find one I like more. However, I love a good cover up. Or, a dress that can be worn as swim cover. My mom loved this dress the first time I wore it. When I mentioned it was from Walmart she couldn’t believe it. Then, I told her it was $14 😉

I’m recently a big fan of the Time and Tru brand at Walmart. I always check this brand for new arrivals because the quality is so good and sizing is consistent. In fact, my bag and hat are from this line too. I got burnt already this season and that is not okay. I was so mad at myself for forgetting sunscreen that day. I had a precancerous mole removed a few years back so I really try to stay shaded with big floppy hats and lots of sunscreen. Also, I got this plastic bag with the cute yellow gingham insert so that I can bring my purse around the pool without worrying about water damage. I’m usually throwing my bag down and chasing my kids with the sunscreen stick. If only someone could get that on video.

I love the length of this striped dress as I prefer midi dresses with a bit of material over my knees. I’m 5’4″ for reference. Also, I’m wearing a size small. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thrown on this stripe dress to run errands, or over my swimsuit. I may have to get another color it’s such a good buy!
Am I the only one that buys multiple pieces in the same style but different colors when it’s a good fit? Please tell me I’m not.
