I fell in love with this skirt and top from Chicwish as soon as I saw them. These pieces are so feminine and pretty. If you have followed me for a bit, then you know I love the embellished pearl trend. See my post here for more pearl inspired ideas. This is such an elegant skirt without feeling like a ballerina because of the flattering midi length.

This pearl skirt reminds me so much of Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City. I think back to my twenties and there was no way I would have worn a skirt like this. I find that in my thirties I am a little more adventurous with fashion and trends. Also, I wear more skirts and dresses than I ever did in my younger years.

Then, I remember Carrie Bradshaw was in her thirties when she wore her tutu ensembles during the Sex and the City series:) It’s never too late to reinvent yourself. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I started this blog in my thirties and often wonder why I didn’t start one sooner. Why wasn’t I confident enough? Why did I assume my body type wasn’t right to showcase fashion finds? Regardless of the reasons, I am happy to finally share my style and help others find confidence through clothing choices.
Everyone deserves a Carrie Bradshaw moment. Most days I feel more like the Carrie Bradshaw where the bus splashes water on her tutu skirt running after two young children all day. My days are definitely not as glamorous with housekeeping and mom life. But, when given the opportunity I like to dress up and be the Carrie in Paris wearing the mint green tulle skirt with the white blazer (makes you want to rewatch the show, right?). Or, I’ve been creating my own times to get dressed up because I truly feel more confident when at least my outfit is put together. Even if my life with kids is pretty chaotic.
Here’s to you finding a Carrie Bradshaw moment… at least once in awhile!

*Thank you to Chicwish for gifting me these pretty pieces. As always all opinions are my own.
